In preparing for Camp NaNoWriMo, I’ve completely neglected to review my March goals until today!
♢ WRITING: To reach 35k words in my writing project
I probably wrote around 2000 words overall on this, but it’s mainly because there’s still a lot of fleshing out I need to do regarding character backstories, so I spent a lot of time on that this month.
♦ BLOG: Try to organise a blogging schedule
I drew up a schedule, I just need to implement it
♦ EXERCISE: To keep up twice a week gym sessions
I somehow managed quite a few early morning gym sessions before work!
♦ DIET: Pack healthy lunches
My favourite lunch by far was an aubergine lasagne that lasted me a week.
♦ BEAUTY: Receive my Invisalign retainers and start wearing them!
I officially received them at the beginning of the month, and have been wearing them religiously ever since.
♦ FINANCES: To save at least £400
Managed to reach this somehow!
♦ CAREER: To build another small app in Ruby
Managed to build a simple yet functional messenger app with Ruby on Rails.
◈ ORGANISATION: Go through my ottoman and declutter
I only managed to half of it this month, so I’m going to keep it on my to do list for April.
♦ SKILLS: Complete 3 italian Duolingo modules and learn G Pentatonic Major, A Natural Minor and E Blues scale off by heart on the guitar
Surprisingly managed to finish these, and tested myself on the scales last night just to make sure!
♦ GOALS: Review my goals for the year and check I’m still on track
Reviewing my goals for the year and the goals I set each month, I think I sometimes go a bit overboard, so I think for April until June, I’m going to start listing less goals. My diet, beauty and exercise goals seem to be on track so hopefully they’re habits I’ve formed that I don’t need to keep setting every month, and therefore not clutter up my monthly goals.
That gives me a March score of 8.5/10, which isn’t bad considering it’s been a busy month again. As it’s Camp NaNoWriMo this month, I’ll hopefully be able to get focused on writing again!
